SF/F/H preferences:
I dabble at writing Science Fiction. I can rarely complete a story because I constantly edit the text. I prefer to review SF, but I also like to read or review horror and ocassionally fantasy.
My favorite authors include: SF: Frank Herbert, Robert A. Heinlein F: Anthony Burgess, J.R.R. Tolkien, Carlos Castaneda (Anthropology?) H: Dean Koontz, S. King
Hopefully, reviewing other work will help me improve my writing.
Publications, if any:
None in this field. I write technical reports for work, which is very boring.
Anything else you think would interest other members:
My intellectual interest are diverse: geology, psychology, ancient history (Greek, Roman, Japanese), cytology, zen, decipherment and encipherment, heiroglyphics, and the study of self actualization. I did study the Japanese language, but I am not very sucessful with this pursuit. I think the reason I like SF is that it pulls from all kinds of life experience and weave experience into stories of enlightenment, success, radical failure, the implications of technological advance, or to serve as a platform for creative/novel ideas.
