I enjoy both reading and writing a good mix of speculative fiction, with a leaning towards fantasy, especially urban/contemporary & reworked fairytales. I've written one or two things that could be classified as horror, and only rarely does my science fiction finish itself; most everything else is fantasy.

I'm an undergraduate student at the University of California Berkeley, looking to study some combination of folklore and linguistics. Because I'm not merely content to read fantasy and the like, I participate in what could be considered related activites: historical reenactments, RenFaire, bellydancing, and martial arts. I'm a total linguaphile as well--I speak Spanish, a little Portuguese, I'm learning Russian, and I can't wait to learn Italian, Finnish, French, and German.
