I started the Information Forum because I couldn't find any other major sites where posting guidelines allowed posting about one's own projects. If that were the norm, as it was in the old Usenet days, then the Innovation Forum wouldn't be needed -- and I hope it again becomes the norm and the Innovation Forum is no longer necessary. So many projects in the past benefited from this, such as Linux, Perl, .ZIP files, and so many more. (Those that are not useful get silently ignored.)

In the meanwhile, please post in this forum about other sites you've found where one can announce and discuss one's own projects. Include any details on policies or suggestions for maximum effectiveness.

The wider an audience such announcements get the more people know about the innovations themselves and the more cross-fertilization can occur. It's thus in everyone's interests to share the list of sites where this can occur.

What exactly do you consider a 'project' to be?

You mention particular programming languages and frameworks. Is it the creation of these themselves or their application that is intended for spotlighting?
