Critters Manuscript Removal

Manuscript Removal

Manuscript removal is done manually, so I encourage people NOT to request removal unless necessary. Note that you lose your place in the queue if you do this. You can maintain your place in the queue with a Manuscript Replacement Request instead.

Step 1: Check the date. Removals can't be made within two days of the Wednesday the manuscript is scheduled to be sent out.

3b>Step 2: Fill out this form:

First, we need your exact email address at which you receive the weekly notices (and manuscripts/critiques, if your preferences so dictate). If you're even one character off, or give the one that Critters is not using, this won't work. Email will be sent to this address confirming your request for a title change, so if you do not receive this email within a short time (give it an hour, say) then this attempt to change a title has failed.

Your (primary) email address:

Now, your critters password, so we know this is really you :-)

Critters password:

Now enter the OLD title of the manuscript in the queue that you wish to remove (this must be byte-for-byte the same, so copy&paste from the queue is highly recommended):

Note that if the title is not exactly as it was sent into the queue with the "title:" header, this request WILL NOT WORK. (The title is a database record key, and thus must match exactly.)

Now click this box so I know you really really want to remove this:

Ok! You'll hear back from the Critter Captain when he's made the change. Might be a few days, even as long as a week. (Removals aren't high priorities since they only need to be done before the manuscript is sent out.)
