Log in to work on the BabelStory
Something I've wanted to do for a while in Critters was get some kind of collaborative group fiction writing web page set up. Finally did it.
The BabelStory page lets anyone add to the story (well, any Critters member, since your password is checked at the door). Rules are pretty simple -- since I know who did what, y'all have to play fairly nice :-) -- namely:
- Add a bit to the end (100 words or so max).
- You can edit the whole thing, but please only use this to fix typos, etc.; don't substantially alter the tone or direction of the story (since few folks will notice such edits; assume folks will only read from where they last left off).
There are multiple stories, one each Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, and Mystery. (Contact me to add other genres you might want.)
Feel free to chat & brainstorm the newsgroup, but don't expect that everyone participating will read news. Remember that any critter can add to the end, whether they read the newsgroup or not, so grandiose schemes may get disrupted. :-)
This is supposed to be fun, so just... have fun!
